5e. Speed of changes

The intensity and duration of an afterimage is directly related to the length of viewing time before the stimulus is removed, therefore, the rate of color change affects the rate of after-image formation and decay. Obviously flickering changes have a different perceptual effect than slow undulating changes, even if they use the same color sequences.
