5g. Dropout and Replacement
The object is turned off so its afterimage is superimposed on
the background. The performer can replace the afterimage with the same color as
the fading afterimage, or he can push against the afterimage with a contrasting
color. Interestingly, going with the afterimage destroys it, while opposing it
actually sustains it.
